This a short invoice or so un knowing score it on and repressed feelings. The narrator in this short story is the undesirable intelligence of the take who tells the story. The gravel is an elderly man, he tells his son about his memories of his childhood, the unhappy slam in his teenage-years and the phylogeny in the farms. The father represses some feelings because he non want to communion about the fear, sadness and uncertainty he bears inside. Because of that his son neer has heard about his fathers real life. The father is sad and feels uncertainty because the girl he wants is Eula Parker and she never really notices him. Eula has a friend she goes with to church it is the onion-haired girl. This girl tries to attract circumspection from the father but she could not because he just looks nearly for Eula. In an impulsive act the father kisses the onion-haired girl, she become happy but the father is not. When they make love at the haymow the father tries to recall Eulas face instead of the onion-haired girls face, his thoughts is only at Eula.

The fathers father is pretty religious so thereby he locate the father to marry the onion-haired girl because she became pregnant with him. He has to postulate of his mistakes because he is no longer a baby and not yet a grown-up. In this story the settings is about cardinal generations and take place in two! beats, at that time and now. There is the father and his son whom he has with the all of a sudden onion-haired girl, because there is the father to the father.
